Since its inception in 1984 the Calgary Real Estate Board's^® Charitable Foundation has funded a number of small capital cost projects for a wide range of charities like the Calgary Rotary Challenger Park & the Court Support Program of the Victim Assistance Unit of the Calgary Police Service. From 2005 to 2007 the Foundations' Board of Governors changed the direction of the fund distribution to focus on a single project, The Crestwood Affordable Housing Development in the Millican–Ogden Community, providing a greater impact in meeting our region's needs. The Foundation has a vision to create a shelter-related legacy that meets the needs of Calgary and area residents that are not met through the conventional housing market. The Board of Governors are currently exploring new shelter-related partnerships that will lead to their next major project for 2010
